Bermaz Motor has announced its new, post-GST on-the-road prices (without insurance) for its Mazda vehicle line-up, with reductions across the board for all its existing models.
The fully-imported Mazda 2 SkyActiv is now a shade cheaper – by RM3.70 – following the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax; the car was previously priced at RM85,470, and is now RM85,466.30. Not much of a drop for most of the CX-5 SUV range, save the 2.0 SkyActiv 2WD, which is now more than RM7k cheaper.
Elsewhere, the good cheer extends to the 3 Sedan 2.0 SkyActiv, the fully-imported version, that is – it’s now RM3k less than before. The pre-facelift 6 Sedan 2.5 SkyActiv also gets RM2,500 lopped off its selling price, and the Mazda 8 2.3 is now RM2k cheaper.
The more interesting bits concern the upcoming CKD versions of the Mazda 3 2.0 SkyActiv sedan and hatchback – the figures you see here for the locally-assembled BM are based off the price lists revealed via Mazda’s Tribos Application Centre’s Facebook postings.
They don’t veer very far away from the indicative prices from last month, where pricing was anticipated to begin from RM105k for the entry-level sedan to RM119k for the hatch (available for the first time here) and RM125k for the high-spec sedan.
Also revealed are the prices for the Mazda 6 facelift, both in sedan and touring forms – the facelift will go on sale in CBU guise first, with CKD to follow later in the year.
