Presiden terkacak di dunia!

Siapa kata pemimpin dunia semuanya tua dan hodoh? Lihat sahaja senarai berikut, jejaka tersenarai ini lebih sesuai memegang watak James Bond berbanding menjadi presiden atau perdana menteri sebuah negara!
Tidak percaya? Mari lihat bersama.
Enrique Pena Nieto, Presiden Mexico
Orang bernama Enrique ini memang kacak agaknya. (nota: Enrique Iglesias).

Jens Stoltenberg, Presiden Norway

Sir Anthony Eden, bekas Perdana Menteri UK
‘Old is gold’ kata pepatah Inggeris.

Abhisit Vejjajiva,bekas Presiden Siam
Wakil Siam ini memang tiada tokok tandingnya. Wajah belia yang bisa mencairkan hati, alangkah seronoknya jika semua perdana menteri miliki wajah tampan seperti beliau.

Apple's iPhone 5S comes with 64-bit processor, so, Samsung is doing the same 'soon', too.

Samsung says its nextgen smartphones will have 64bit processors too

Samsung's mobile business head JK Shin has said that the company's next smartphones will feature a 64-bit CPU, according to the Korea Times. The remarks follows Apple's launch of theiPhone 5s, the first handset with the 64-bit, billion transistor A7 processor and 64-bit OS 7.

Saying that Samsung is aware of Apple's ambitions in China, the exec added that a device with such a chip would come "not in the shortest time," but that "our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing capability."

They could use the ARMv8 64-bit architecture that ARM has been promoting for quite awhile now, since Samsung is a prominent licensee. Does that mean a Galaxy S 5 flagship will become the Korean company's first to use the tech?

Cue the rumors and speculation.

How much do you need for your children's education?

In an age where the common degree has become a prerequisite and not so much an advantage, ensuring that you have enough to see your children through a reputable university has inadvertently become one of the most important responsibilities you’ll face as a parent.

Unfortunately, knowing how much to save for your kids’ tertiary education is not an easy question to answer. In fact, it is downright complex in view of the vast differences in costs from degree to degree, university to university, and country to country.

And even for those who do have a number in mind, there is still the question of when you should start saving, using which savings / investment vehicle.

If you have been wondering about your financial capabilities to finance your kids’ tertiary education, or you have been seeking a workable method to save a sizable study fund for your children; allow iMoney to shed some light on this matter with the latest infographic.

Mitsubishi Attrage – full Malaysian specs and prices

Mitsubishi_Attrage_Malaysia_ 004

It’s the season of previews, both for upcoming Frankfurt and Malaysian launches. Last Friday we scooped the 2013 Toyota Vios in the flesh during its on-going Vios Spot & Snap Cruisersprogramme, and now we have live photos of the soon-arriving Mitsubishi Attrage, taken at Paradigm Mall over the weekend.

It’s nothing we haven’t seen before, of course, as we’ve already had a spyshot gallery of a Malaysian-spec Attrage last week. In the public preview though, the new 80 PS, 106 Nm 1.2 litre sedan was dressed up in full SE spec, replete with a set of factory bodykit and LED daytime running lights.

Also available at the stand were the new sedan’s full spec sheet and brochure, which you can see in the gallery below. The top spec SE carries a tentative price tag of RM78,000, while the GS, sans the bodykit, DRLs, security window film, leather seats and 2-DIN touchscreen head unit with reverse camera brings it down to RM71,000.

Mitsubishi_Attrage_Malaysia_ 019

The base CVT variant, the GL, loses out on the keyless entry and push start system, remote trunk release, auto air-con and leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, but is more affordable at RM65,000.

As announced earlier, the five-speed manual Attrage GL dips below the RM60,000 mark. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, 15-inch wheels and foglights are standard across the range, as is a claimed fuel economy of 21 km per litre.

The local B-segment scene sure is heating up this year. Kia threw down the gauntlet first with its RM74-80k Rio hatchback, which was then met head-on by the revitalised RM75k Honda Jazz. Next up will be the facelifted Ford Fiesta’s debut later this month, followed closely by the much-awaited 2013 Toyota Vios sometime in October.

The Mitsubishi Attrage will enter the market last in November, joining the crowded segment already occupied by the Nissan Almera, Honda City, Mitsu’s own Mirage and of course, if you look at prices alone, the new Proton Suprima S. You can read our preview drive report of the Attrage in Thailand to find out if it’s worth waiting for.

Hasil tangan anak Malaysia di History Channel

Kuala Lumpur: Produksi animasi tempatan, Two Tones Sdn Bhd mencipta kejayaan tersendiri dalam hasil kerja imej janaan komputer (CGI) apabila karya dokumentari Lost Over France: Malaysia’s Unsung Hero akan ditayangkan menerusi saluran televisyen antarabangsa, History Channel pada 15 September ini.

Pengarah CGI, Amru Najmi Osman berkata, pemilihan produksinya menerusi 3line Media bertanggungjawab menjalankan proses CGI seratus peratus memberi cabaran besar untuk memenuhi standard penerbitan saluran berkenaan.

Steamy new Miley Cyrus video sets viewing record

Steamy new Miley Cyrus video sets viewing record

Miley Cyrus remained firmly in the US show business spotlight Tuesday after her steamy new video set a viewing record on the Vevo.com website.

"Wrecking Ball," featuring the erstwhile Disney teen idol swinging topless on a wrecking ball, drew 19.3 million views in its first 24 hours online, said Vevo via Twitter.

She handily broke the record previously held by the British boy band One Direction.

Cyrus, 20, with an album due out in October, provoked a national stir last month at the MTV Music Video Awards as she performed a raunchy duet with pop singer Robin Thicke.

"Unacceptable," thundered the conservative Parents Television Council, whose board of advisors includes her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Thicke himself featured nude women -- but kept his own clothes on -- in the sexually charged video for his summer hit "Blurred Lines." - AFP

What is it with Korean cars that gives them bad reputation in Malaysia?

I scooped these pics from The Green Mechanics blog. They actually look gorgeous, in my honest opinion.

New Cerato 1.6 D-CVVT

Cerato 1.6 starts at RM102,000 and Cerato 2.0 at RM121,000

Dashboard of the Cerato

New Sorento  2.4L DOHC CVVT (RM161,000)

Kia Optima, K5 starts at RM147,000 pitted against the likes of Toyota Camry and Honda Accord

So what is it that give these cars bad reputation in Malaysia? If you read in the online forums, blogs and public comments - most of them point to negative perception. Is it really so? I don't know.

British Asian girls 'hidden target of sex abuse gangs'

British Asian girls 'hidden target of sex abuse gangs'

The sexual abuse of British girls of South Asian origin is going unreported because authorities tend to focus on gangs that target white youngsters, according to a study released on Tuesday.

Although there has been a series of high-profile British court cases in which men of South Asian heritage were convicted of sexually exploiting vulnerable white girls, authorities are failing to spot cases in which men target girls from their own ethnic group, the Muslim Women's Network UK said.

Asian girls are reluctant to report sexual abuse to the police because they fear that they will not be believed or that they will bring dishonour to their families, according to the group, which advises the British government on issues facing Muslim women.

The Muslim Women's Network said it had uncovered 35 cases in which young Asians had been sexually exploited. Most of the victims said their abusers were men from the same ethnic group.

Haleh Afshar, the group's president, said there had been a "deafening silence" on the sexual abuse of young Asian girls.

"In all communities victims of such violence find it difficult to report sexual abuse and seek support. Among Asians and Muslims this is exacerbated by a culture of honour and shame," she wrote in a foreword to the report.

The group was unable to speak directly to the victims but said it had collected evidence from charities who had contact with them, as well as police, healthcare workers and other officials.

Sue Berelowitz, Deputy Children's Commissioner for England, said there was a widespread myth that gangs of Asian men were targeting only white girls, motivated by "hatred and contempt for white females".

In reality, sexual predators target the most accessible victims -- often those from the same ethnic background, she added.

The group admitted that it is difficult to estimate the scale of the abuse, and stressed it was also not clear whether or not Asian girls face greater exploitation than their white schoolmates.

Most of the victims were aged under 16 and two thirds of them were from Pakistani families, the report said.

Some of the girls were plied with drugs or alcohol before being passed around gangs of men, in cases similar to those involving white girls that have hit British headlines in recent months. - AFP

Uproar over sale of genital-shaped key-chains

Uproar over sale of genital-shaped key-chains

BINTULU:  The sale of male genital-shaped key-chains at budget shops to children has left parents and teachers hot under the collar.

The items - in red, yellow and black colours based on the individual's preference - are selling like hot cakes at RM1.20 each.

One of the budget shops selling the key-chains is located near a primary school.

A Bernama survey on budget shops here has revealed that such key-chains were openly displayed near cashier counters.

An irate father of five wants to know how the product found its way to the open market and questioned the moral sensitivities of the shopowners.

"Whatever the reason, the shopowners must have a sense of moral responsibility.

Selling such product is not suitable at all, especially where children are involved.

"The relevant authorities like the domestic trade, cooperatives and consumerism ministry should investigate how the product could find its way here and take the necessary action," Awangku Jeffryhudin Has, 39, told Bernama here today.

Sharing similar sentiments, Jaffry Ibrahim urged the authorities to seize the key-chains and ban them from being sold at open markets.

"I am quite worried it will lead to other things such as influx of similar products for easy availability in open markets.

"Let's not make a joke out of genitals, such issues are sensitive," said the 50-year-old father of three.

Sarawak Teachers Union president Jisin Nyud said the sale of the product must be withdrawn immediately.

Kanak-kanak 2 tahun maut dirempuh kereta bapa

Google+ brings Snapseed-powered photo editing tools to desktop Chrome

Google added Snapseed photo editing to its Google+ apps on Android and iOS back in March, and now it's bringing them to the desktop. The new tools include Auto Enhance, selective adjust editing, and filters, all powered by the Chrome browser's Native Client tech.

Not familiar with how that works? Google brought Native Client to Chrome back in 2011, and it allows developers to port code written in languages like C and C++ so it runs in the browser. Vic Gundotra said on Google+ that this is the Snapseed app built for Chrome, so we'll see if more mobile apps and features follow it over.

If you're not using Chrome you'll have to live with basic crop and rotate editing tools on Google+, but even those have been shifted around to make them easier to find.

Once the new options are available on your account (as usual, they're rolling out slowly over the next few weeks) all you'll need to do is select one of your photos in Chrome and hit "edit" to see them. Until then, check out the video demo embedded after the break.
