GEORGE TOWN: Penang police have completed the investigation papers on PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali allegedly calling Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, an UMNO stooge at a ceramah (public talk) during the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat by-election campaign recently.
State police chief, Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi said it would depend on the directive of the Legal Unit head whether the case would be brought to court or not.
"We have completed the investigation papers and we have asked for the assistance of D5 (Law and Prosecution Unit) in Bukit Aman to record the statement of the Selangor menteri besar (Azmin)," he said.
Abdul Rahim was met by reporters after a Penang police-community "buka puasa" (breaking-of-fast) function, here, last night.
