Neymar scores as Brazil turn on style to hammer France 3 - 1 in Paris

International friendly, Stade de France – France 1 (Varane 21) Brazil 3 (Oscar 40, Neymar 57, Gustavo 69)

Brazil continued their resurgence since their nightmare 7-1 hammering against Germany in the World Cup with a morale-boosting 3-1 victory in Paris.

France started the better and went ahead through a Raphael Varane header but a well-worked Oscar goal saw Brazil level just before the break.

The goal appeared to galvanise the visitors under new manager Dunga and they were arguably the better side after the break, Neymar blasting them ahead from a tight angle before Luiz Gustavo finished the job by nodding home his second for Brazil.

France’s defeat was their first since losing to Germany in the World Cup quarter-finals but Brazil have now won seven friendly matches since their nightmare defeat against the same opponents, scoring 17 goals and conceding only two with a 100% record under their new boss. It all bodes well going into their imminent Copa America match against Chile.
