KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia has further strengthened its network into Indonesia and the Philippines via three separate hubs in Malaysia.
It will see inaugural flights take-off from Kuala Lumpur to Pontianak in Indonesia, Johor Baharu to Medan (Indonesia) and Kota Kinabalu to Cebu (the Philippines) today.
"AirAsia Bhd operates out of five hubs in Malaysia and we are committed to expanding our network, especially from other hubs, apart from Kuala Lumpur," Head of Commercial for AirAsia Bhd, Spencer Lee said in a statement here, Friday.
Lee said AirAsia looks forward to serving the communities from the hubs and provide them with enhanced connectivity and more flight options.
AirAsia, together with the airport authorities in Pontianak and Cebu, received the guests on the respective inaugural flights to celebrate the occasion.
AirAsia now flies to 16 Indonesian cities.
