Sentul police say a 45-year-old suspect has been detained to facilitate investigations.
KUALA LUMPUR: A septuagenarian was slashed to death by her mentally-ill daughter at a four-storey shophouse in Jalan Sentul here Friday.
The body of the 74-year-old victim who sustained multiple slash wounds on the face was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
Sentul police chief, ACP R. Munusamy on Saturday said a 45-year-old suspect was detained to facilitate investigations.
He said the arrest followed a telephone call from the suspect's sister, informing the police that their mother was slashed to death with a sharp weapon. - Bernama
