Real Madrid to move for Raheem Sterling?

Real Madrid to move for £45m Sterling:

Real Madrid are set to explore a £45 million deal for Raheem Sterling, according to The Sun. “A deal for Sterling is possible," a Real Madrid source told the newspaper with the report claiming that the Liverpool player could be headed to the Bernabeu.

Liverpool's bosses are going to be in Spain on June 14 for a friendly between Real Madrid and Liverpool's legends and the Merengues are hoping to work on a deal then. The Reds had valued Sterling at £60m, but they may drop the price for a club outside of England if there are add-ons involved. Real Madrid are reportedly keen to build Sterling into their squad with an incentive-based deal.

Paper Round's view:

Real Madrid are certainly now believed to be genuinely interested in Sterling, but the fact that it is "possible" is all we have to go on right now. Rafa Benitez has reportedly long been a fan of the player and they have the cash to get the deal done. Liverpool would also be more likely to deal with them than Manchester City or Arsenal, possibly even lowering their price if he left the country.

The deal is still a long way from being done and isn't even probable at this point, but it's a more likely landing spot than either the Etihad or Emirates. This move would make a lot of sense for both Real and Liverpool - if they have to sell the player - but would Sterling get any game time?
