'Harry Kane is worth £100m', says Rodney Marsh

Former England international Rodney Marsh believes Harry Kane is worth £100m.

The outlandish statement comes just days after the Tottenham striker scored on his senior debut for Roy Hodgson's side against Lithuania.

Kane had scored 29 goals in all competitions for his club before getting his first England goal on Friday, an amazing feat when you consider he only made his first league start of the season on November 9.

"I have said it before – I think Kane will leave Tottenham," Marsh told talkSPORT.

"I could be wrong and he might stay, but it’s my opinion. I reckon he’d be worth £100million, I really do. If I was a chairman of a club I’d pay it."

EUROSPORT's View:

Although Kane's impressive five month form has made him the Premier League's best player, it seems slightly premature to value him above Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. If he continues to work hard and put in consistent performances for Tottenham than it will be just a matter of time before a major European club pays big money for him.
