Actor arrested for syabu possession, again

ZAINOL: The suspect is now under remand

KUALA LUMPUR: A 36-year-old actor was arrested by police for possessing syabu in a hotel room here, Thursday night.

Dang Wangi Police chief ACP Zainol Samah said in the incident at 9pm, the police also seized an imitation firearm.

"The suspect is under remand. The case is being investigated under Section 39A (1) of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 36(1) of Firearms Act 1960," he told Bernama.

The talented actor was arrested for being involved in drugs in March 2010 and in June 2013.

In the first case, he was acquitted of injecting syabu into his body but was found guilty of drug possession and was fined RM5,000.

In the second case, the actor and four friends were acquitted and discharged by the Magistrate's Court on charges of syabu possession.
