Police probe half-naked models in Ipoh

He reminded the public not to behave indecently in public places

IPOH: Police are investigating reports of a couple, believed to be models, who were reportedly walking half-naked along Jalan Sultan Yussuf here.

Ipoh District Acting Police Chief Supt Ahmad Termizi Abdul Haq said a police team was sent there after the department received photographs of the couple through the 'WhatsApp' application.

However, when they arrived at the location, the couple had already left.

"An order has been issued to the station police chief and members that if they come across any immoral and indecent behaviour, they should advise or take action to stop it," he said when contacted here, Monday.

However, to date, police had not received any reports of the incident, he added.

Ahmad Termizi said the matter was being investigated under Section 41 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for indecent behaviour.

He reminded the public not to behave indecently in public places as it was an offence under the same act. The couple, clad in indecent clothes, drew public attention and many social websites posted their photographs which occurred at 9am.

The female model was reported wearing a white bikini and a veil while the man was wearing long black pants without a shirt.

The models were with a crew and believed to be on a wedding photography session at the location. - Bernama
