Malaysian man shot in Thailand on Saturday in stable condition

POLICE: The victim was rushed to Sungai Golok Hospital before being transferred to HUSM for further treatment.

KOTA BHARU: A Malaysian man who was shot in a fight in Sungai Golok, Thailand on Saturday, is reportedly in stable condition.

The 46-year-old man from Kampung Atas Banggol, Jalan Pantai Cahaya Bulan, here, suffered injury in his right hand and was admitted to Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM), Kubang Kerian for further treatment.

Kota Bharu district police chief, ACP Rohaimi Md Isa said police were investigating the case, including the cause of the incident.

"The victim is believed to be in the area with two friends to discuss business carried out by him in Cambodia," he said when met, here, on Sunday.

Local newspapers today reported that a Malaysian man was injured after he was shot at an entertainment centre in Chaoreanket Road, Sungai Golok, Southern Thailand on Saturday.

The victim was rushed to Sungai Golok Hospital before being transferred to HUSM for further treatment.
