ANNUAR: KAFA agrees to bear all costs incurred following the postponement of the scheduled match.
KOTA BAHARU: The Super League match between Kelantan and Lions XII at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium on Saturday has been postponed to Sunday.
Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the postponement is to pay last respects to Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat who died Thursday night.
"I have informed the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) who agreed with KAFA's application to postpone the Kelantan-Lions XII match tomorrow to Sunday.
"KAFA will send an official letter today to the FAM and Singapore (Lions XII)," he said on his Facebook site Friday.
Annuar said KAFA also agreed to bear all costs incurred following the postponement of the scheduled match.
"The postponement will cause difficulty to the visiting team, match officials, television station crews, media people and affect the youth team matches.
"I apologise for all the trouble caused," he added,
Nik Abdul Aziz, 84, died at home in Pulau Melaka, here at 9.40pm last night after a long fight with prostate cancer.
Remains of the former Kelantan menteri besar were buried at Pulau Melaka Muslim cemetery today.
