A police officer believed to have been suffering from mental problems shot his wife, his father-in-law and eventually himself at Jalan Sialang here Saturday evening.
Lance corporal Fadzly Omar was said to have first shot his wife Norakma Kadir, 28, at the Felda Chempelak quarters where he was on duty at around 6pm, before going to Ab Kadir Md Arif’s house to shoot him.
After that, Fadzly turned the gun on himself.
Fadzly died on the spot while Ab Kadir, who sustained severe injuries, was pronounced dead at the Tangkak Hospital.
Fadzly and his wife are known to have some problems between them, and they had previously gone for counselling sessions with the religious department.
Fadzly was also said to have been suffering from mental problems, but never attempted to seek professional treatment.
A police source confirmed that police was notified on the matter at around 7.15pm, and investigations are still being conducted.
