PETALING JAYA: The Edge Media Group owner Datuk Tong Kooi Ong is the latest to be barred from leaving from the country.
Sources at The Edge said that Tong had been barred from leaving but could not confirm the reasons for the travel ban.
Earlier Wednesday, PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli and DAP national publicity secretary Tony Pua claimed to also being barred from leaving the country.
Rafizi and Pua were accused by Lester Melanyi, a former Sarawak Tribune editor, of being involved in a plot to discredit Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The other politician named was jailed former Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.Immigration Director-General Datuk Mustafa Ibrahim could not be reached for comment.
