Why is Tony Pua barred from leaving the country?

DAP is demanding for an explanation from the Immigration Department on why Tony Pua has been barred from leaving the country.

KUALA LUMPUR: DAP is demanding for an explanation from the Immigration Department on why Petaling Jaya Utara MP, Tony Pua has been barred from leaving the country.

Puchong MP, Gobind Singh who is also DAP's Legal Bureau Chairman said the party is giving a duration of one week to the Immigration Department director to explain the matter.

“We will ask them a week to respond. We will also write officially to the government to seek for explanation,” said Gobind during a press conference held here today.

Pua was stopped by Immigration officials from leaving on a flight to Jogjakarta, Indonesia, at the KLIA2 low-cost carrier terminal yesterday.
