A close friend of the victim's family, who wanted to be known as Chan, in her 40s, said Chong's family wanted her remains to 'rest' for two days at their home before being buried at noon on Sunday.

"During those two days, we have invited the pastor of the Lutheran Christian Church nearby to perform religious rites," she told Bernama at the Chong family residence in Taman Pertama here, Thursday.

Chan said all of Chong's family members had travelled to Kuala Lumpur at 2pm Thursday to attend the ceremony honouring the victims of the MH17 tragedy and would return here to perform the religious ceremonies.

Several preparations have also been made by Paradise Memorial Park Sdn Bhd, which has been appointed by the victim's family to manage her burial ceremony.
