GEORGE TOWN, Aug 6 — Police have identified 15 people from a video clip purportedly of a “Penang Nude Sports Game” at the National Park in Teluk Bahang here.
State police chief Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi told a press conference that the 15 were of various nationalities including seven Malaysians.
“There are four Singaporeans, two Myanmar nationals, an Indian national and a Philippino,” he said.
A video clip of a group of people frolicking in the nude at Teluk Kampi went viral online and created an uproar in the social media, leading Penang Perkasa to lodge a police report against the event.
“We are now tracking them down and we are working with other law enforcement agencies too,” Abdul Rahim said.
He said the police have also discovered the organiser of the event, but declined to reveal the person’s identity.
“We have recorded 10 statements including from park officials and management,” he said, adding that arrest will be made soon.
The video clip, lasting nearly five and a half minutes, was taken at a secluded beach believed at the National Park, Teluk Bahang in Penang.
