Congratulations once again to my favourite rapper as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are officially engaged! But it hasn’t always been an easy journey as we all know, Kanye was chasing Kim for a good NINE years! So for all you lovers out there, Kanye West is the perfect role model in believing that anyone can get the girl of their dreams.

Kim probably said no to Kanye a million times before, putting him in the friend zone and not wanting to ruin their friendship among other excuses. But did Kanye back down? Oh no he didn’t. In fact, Kanye kept trying to convince Kim that he was her knight in shining armour. Girls read too many fairy tales; we practically have this cotton candy idea of what love and prince charming is supposed to look like to the extent that we won’t simply give a guy a chance at first attempt. If you try hard enough to break down those walls of idealism, she’ll realize that that’s what real love is; not a man who looks like Zac Efron, but a man who is made of strong will and persistence.

This perfect match started off as friends and we find it amazing how he made it out of the friend zone. But that’s just it, at the end of the day a girl does want a guy who can be a lover and friend. A relationship is built on understanding and communication, if you have nothing in common, where is your relationship headed? Kim and Kanye could bond from music to clothes, in fact it’s crazy adorable how Kanye helps Kim pick out her wardrobe! So here’s a tip, if you hit on her and it doesn’t work don’t drop out just yet. Be her friend. Get to know her, understand her and be there for her. Eventually things fall into place.

If you really do get your dream girl make it worth it. A proposal in the middle of a shopping mall won’t cut it. Think romantic. You may not be able to book the Bukit Jalil National Stadium just for friends and family to see you propose on one knee, but do something that she will remember fondly for a lifetime.
