5 Reasons to marry a Doctor

I can still recall those back to back couch potato sessions of watching Grey’s Anatomy (because of McDreamy and McSteamy) as well as ER (obviously because of George Clooney!)

In the back of my mind, I believed all doctors were made deliciously good looking with grey hair. To the extent that when it comes to the main criteria in searching for Mr. Right, it just had to be a doctor.

Furthermore, my mom loved doctors, with the excuse that her son in law would help cure her in her old days. Sure, mom.

Apart from being the ideal daughter by marrying a doctor because Mommy requests so, why else should anyone marry a doctor?

Doctors are hot

Does McSteamy and McDreamy ring a bell? If all doctors were this delicious looking, nobody would mind being hospitalized. However not all doctors look like that (unless your dream doctor is an Englishman or American). Good looking is a subjective matter, but one thing we can agree about doctors is the fact that they have a very soothing look about them.

Doctors make great listeners

It’s difficult to find a man who will put his work aside and listen to you. Most men are only good at tuning out when we start talking. Having a doctor around means you have a attentive listening buddy. It really does make a girl feel appreciated.

Parents approve

What parent doesn’t approve of a doctor as a son in law?

Guaranteed brilliant kids

We always hear how people say doctors make genius kids. Can’t really tell how true that is, but one thing for sure, most of my school friends turned out quite the geniuses with doctors as parents.

A legit sugar daddy?

Not really. There’s no career which guarantees a rags to riches tale, unless you become an investment banker of course. Furthermore, marriage for money? How long would that last?
