JOHOR BAHARU: The 40th Hello Kitty anniversary celebration in Nusajaya here next month is set to host the first and largest Hello Kitty fans gathering in Southeast Asia.
Ambassador for Sanrio Hello Kitty Town, Nusajaya, Joyce Tay said in conjunction with the celebration, the theme park had introduced new activities starting August until end-October, to reward new and returning visitors.
Speaking to reporters at the launch of the new attraction, she said the Wishful Studio allowed visitors to craft their own badge pins fashioned after the Hello Kitty anniversary designs.
Other than that, it will also organise four main events namely Hello Kitty Friends Gathering, Hello Kitty Friends Fiesta, Hello Kitty Friends Catwalk and Hello Kitty Friends Rock Music Festival.
About 10,000 visitors, including from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Hong Kong, are expected to visit the park, which will be hosting the celebration from Oct 31 to Nov 2, 2014.
