Yikes! It's an expensive bicycle - the YikeBike

Move over, electric motorbike! Here comes the yikes - the electric-powered bicycle.

YikeBike
The YikeBike, marketed by Mysikal in Malaysia

YikeBike mini-farthing is claimed to give people freedom in congested cities. A radical Kiwi electric bicycle is set to change the lives of commuters worldwide. And it is available now in Malaysia with price starting at over RM7,249.

The YikeBike mini-farthing is the smallest and lightest electric folding bicycle available in the world.

Weighing less than 12kg (Malaysia version, carbon), it is expected to transform the way urban commuters navigate congested cities by enabling people to take it on buses, trains, cars and it can be stored easily under a desk or in a cupboard.

How much?

Perhaps the price is the single biggest stumbling block to the wider adoption of his bicycle. There are two variants:

1) YikeBike Fusion (Aluminium Composite) 14.7kg   - RM7,249.00 + tax
2) YikeBike Carbon (Carbon Fibre) 11.5kg                  - RM13,149.00 + tax

Such an expensive stuff!
