Holding area set up for family members of passengers of MH370

SEPANG: A holding area for family members of the passengers on flight MH370 has been set up at the Anjung Tinjau at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, by Malaysia Airlines and Malaysia Airports.

Several nervous and distraught looking individuals were seen entering the area. However, none of them were willing to give any comments when approached.

It is also believed that several representatives from the NGO Buddhist Tzu Chi have volunteered their time in giving emotional support to the family members as they await news.

MH370, a code share flight with China Southern Airlines, left KLIA for Beijing at 12:41am this morning.

All communication with the plane was lost at 2:40am and no distress signal or call was received.

The flight had registered 239 passengers, 38 of them Malaysian. It was scheduled to arrive at Beijing International Airport at 6:30am local time.
