Candlelight vigil held for passengers on MH370

A candlelight vigil was held in Kuala Lumpur on Monday for the passengers of missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.

People gathered in the capital to sing songs and pray as the search continues for the missing airliner.

They also wrote messages on Chinese lanterns and released them into the sky.

The vigil follows prayers which had been held nationwide on Sunday and Monday.

Flight MH370 vanished from radar screens early on Saturday about one hour into a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board.

With no confirmation that the Boeing 777 had crashed, hundreds of distraught relatives are still waiting anxiously for any news.
