KUALA LUMPUR: A radio presenter has claimed that her 20-month-old son suffered abuse at a child care centre in Kelana Jaya two days ago.
Nazira Noran, 35, who works at Bernama Radio24, claimed that her husband Muhammad Farid Samsuddin, 41, noticed what seemed to be bite and scratch marks on the right and left arms, back and forehead of their son, Muhammad Qolbi, when he fetched him from the nursery on Thursday evening.
"I went to the nursery to get an explanation but the supervisor told me that the marks were from old wounds.
"However, a doctor at a private medical centre confirmed the marks to be fingernail scratches of an adult," she told Bernama today.
Nazira said she lodged a report at the Petaling Jaya police station late on Thursday.
"This is the first time this has happened after my son had been sent there for more than a year," she said.
Nazira said Muhammad Qolbi was in stable condition and that following the incident the boy, the youngest of three siblings, was being taken care of by the family.
