The Indonesian transport ministry has released a timeline showing the events leading to the disappearance of Air Asia flight QZ8501, reports Detik.com.
6.12 am WIB (Western Indonesian time - 7.12am Singapore time) - The flight requests permission to avoid clouds around it, then requests to go up to 38,000 feet
6.16am WIB - The flight is still detectable on radar
6.17am WIB - Flight drops off radar, loses contact with air traffic control
6.18am WIB - Realisation that the flight has dropped off radar and possibly gone off the flight path.
