Fosil gigi dinosaur pemangsa Spinosaurid ditemui di Pahang

KUALA LUMPUR: Ahli paleontologi dari Universiti Malaya telah menemui fosil dinosaur pertama di Malaysia. Fosil gigi ditemui di luar bandar Pahang.

Ketua penyelidik Jepun Dr Masatoshi Sone dari Universiti Waseda dan Kumamoto berkata kerjasama dengan Universiti Malaya bermula sejak September 2012.

Fosil gigi "Sample UM10575" milik dinosaur Spinosaurid, yang dikenali sebagai karnivor dan memakan ikan.

"Ia dijangka bahawa fosil dinosaur sepenuhnya masih kekal di Malaysia" kata wakil Universiti Malaya dan Dr Masatoshi. 

Para penyelidik juga mengatakan mereka akan terus menyelidik lanjut dan berharap untuk menjalankan siasatan yang lebih luas.
