A 20-year-old youth was sentenced to six months' jail by the Magistrate's Court here today for offering sex service to a policeman and failure to produce his identity card upon request by the officer.
However, Raizi Toran need only serve four months after Magistrate Ashraf Rezal Abdul Manan ordered his sentence to run concurrently, effective from the date of his arrest yesterday.
Raizi wearing a grey T-shirt and leggings admitted committing the offences at Lorong Haji Taib 3 here at 6.30 pm yesterday.
Earlier mitigating for a lenient sentence, Raizi who was unrepresented, said he was suffering from a heart disease and could not afford to settle the fine. He said he lost his identity card two months ago.
The prosecution was represented by Chief Insp Nom Phot Prackdit.
