Sex on the menu of restaurants

Sex on the menu of restaurants

KUALA LUMPUR:  Some restaurants operating in industrial areas are serving more than just sizzling hot, delectable dishes to whet the appetite of patrons.

Sex is also on the menu.

Waitresses at these restaurants which share the premises with factories located in the interior, double up as prostitutes.

The aim is simple. The restaurant operators reap big profits by offering both food and sex to ensure factory workers continue to patronise the outlets.

It's thus, a win-win situation for the restaurants, waitresses and the factory worker who need not travel far, in search of sex services.

Federal police uncovered such 'naughty servings' by errant restaurants during surprise raids in several states, including Perak, recently.

Bukit Aman Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) senior assistant director Datuk Abdul Jalil Hassan said some factories, especially located in the interior, had restaurants offering sex to ensure factory workers became regulars.

"After taking orders, the waitresses, in the event customers are keen, will entertain them for a fee. These waitresses work in shifts to coincide with the time the workers finish their work for the day," he said.

He said between RM100 and RM150 was charged for eash session and the clients included Indonesian and Bangladeshi immigrant wokers.

Based on statistics, the police conducted 24,995 raids on vice dens from January to June this year, as compared to 19,632, in the same period last year.

During the same period, women from China recorded the highest number nabbed at 2,032, followed by Vietnamese (1,849), Thai (1,390), Indonesian (580) and Filipina (245).

"We also work with the immigration department to ensure those who had been detained for such activities be prevented from re-entering," said Abdul Jalil.
