Lee's still our hero!

He may have lost the world crown, but Lee Chong Wei is still Malaysia's champion for all his badminton heroics.

The Penangite will certainly be still wallowing in sadness after yet another failed attempt at the BWF World Championships title, but there is no shortage of encouragement from the Malaysian fans via social media.

And coach Tey Seu Bock, though a little dissatisfied with the air conditioning issue, said Chong Wei is practically a legendary player after the valiant effort against Lin Dan, who claimed his fifth world title.

"It was a match between legends, " said Seu Bock.

Reports indicate that Chong Wei is still hospitalised, despite Seu Bock saying that it was only cramps. But the 31-year old is probably not taking chances, wanting to ensure that he is not seriously injured.

The two-time Olympic silver medallist will now hope to recover in time to play at the Indian Badminton League (IBL), where he will represent Mumbai Masters in the competition involving six teams. Seu Bock will also be coaching the Mumbai Masters.

Malaysia's Rashid Sidek was appointed by the Delhi Smashers to become their coach, who also obtained the services of Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong.

Other Malaysians involved in the IBL are Tan Wee Kiong (Pune Pistons), Chong Wei Feng (Awadhe Warriors), and Goh V Shem-Lim Khim Wah (Hyderabad Hotshots).
