Rompin by-election to be held on May 5, nomination set for April 22

KUALA LUMPUR: The Rompin by-election has been set for May 5 while the nomination date has been scheduled for April 22.

The early voting meanwhile has been set for April 30, 2015.

The date was announced by Election Commission (EC) Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof after heading a special meeting for the Rompin Election at Putrajaya on Friday.

The Rompin Parliamentary seat was declared vacant following the death of its incumbent, Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis in a helicopter crash on April 4.
