Maznah Mohd Yusof, who was detained after she allegedly uploaded to YouTube a controversial video clip showing a person celebrating Hari Raya with three dogs, was today transferred to the Segamat district police headquarters (IPD) for further investigation.
Kuala Lumpur police chief, Datuk Mohmad Salleh said the first report on the video was lodged in Segamat, so the Segamat IPD would take over the investigation.
"We transferred her (there) today. All reports concerning her (in connection with the video case) will be referred there (Segamat IPD)," he told a press conference, here.
Yesterday, Maznah, 38, also known as Chetz, was arrested at the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department to facilitate the investigation into the case under Section 298A of the Penal Code, for causing disharmony, disunity, or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will on grounds of religion.
The 104-second video clip shows an individual walking with three dogs near a mosque with the "takbir raya" playing in the background.
It also shows the individual, clad in a black baju Melayu, washing her dogs' paws, which mimicked the ablution performed by Muslims before prayers, and feeding her dogs Raja cookies.
The video also carries her Hari Raya greetings, "Raikanlah Aidilfitri bersama-sama, tanpa mengira spesis, warna, asal usul.(Celebrate Aidilfitri together, regardless of species, colour, origin).
