The thinnest Android - The Ascend P6, priced at RM1,399

Huawei has launched the Ascend P6 smartphone which runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is said to be the thinnest smartphone on the market, at just 6.18mm thick.

In spite of its thin profile, the P6 is packed with features and runs on a Hi-silicon K3V2 1.5GHz quad-core processor and has a 4.7in (1,280 x 720-pixels) display.

However, while the phone supports UMTS and GSM and can work at HSPA+ speeds, it does not support the newer LTE networks.

Apart from how thin it is, the P6 comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is possibly the highest megapixel count for a front-facing camera in smartphones.

Huawei is pricing the P6 very competitively at RM1,399 and stocks are available now in white and black while a pink version is due to appear in October.
